I realize that I am often rather sarcastic, snarky, perhaps even belligerant on this blog. Please believe me when I say the following, as I am using absolutely no sarcasm whatsoever:
The video below made me so happy that I literally got some tears in my eyes. It goes on a little long, but I can only imagine it not touching you in some way if you're absolutely dead inside.
Where the Hell is Matt? (2008) from Matthew Harding on Vimeo.

That really is awesome. I can't believe he danced in the DMZ !!
Oh wow !! Nellis Airspace is just across town from me!!
I think if more people were like this guy we would have peace on earth :-)
Nogod bless whoever let him get that clip from the DMZ.
Beautiful people. Every one of them. (Including the humpback whale and the golden retriever.)
I've just remembered something that maybe I should explain.
The clip from the DMZ is a nice little videomaking coup, I'll grant you. But it's also quite affecting to me, as I have a brother and sister-in-law in Seoul -- within range of North Korean artillery.
I mostly try not to think about it and like most coping strategies, it mostly works. But there's no avoidig reality entirely, so some nights I lie awake and just worry. I think I'd be a rather odd sort of person if I didn't.
Anyhoo, getting some nice news from the Korean peninsula is a welcome change for me, to put it mildly.
Oh, and Lance, my brother and his wife are also English teachers.
Wow...thanks for the story. That movie was pretty moving as it is, but that just added a whole new layer to it.
